Thank Yourself for Saving

With Thanksgiving around the corner, the savers among us should be take a minute to appreciate their efforts. With a nation in a economic crisis, we've all been reminded of the value of saving. Whether for the short-term emergency or the long-term goal of a comfortable retirement, having savings should help you sleep at night.

When you're thinking about retirement, of course the account you choose matters. Selecting between a 401(k) plan, a Roth IRA or a regular IRA is an important decision. But, at this time of the year, don't forget the most important: the savings amount itself.
