I recently blogged about How Much You Should Save for Retirement. The results of the survey were interesting (If you'd like, you can still participate in the survey). In many facets of life, of course, we are unable to actually do everything we know we should. Eating healthy and staying fit are two obvious examples; saving for retirement is another.
Think about your personal situation for a minute. Consider your contributions to IRAs, Roth IRAs, SEP-IRAs, 401(k)s, and 403(b)s. Obviously, you won't be eligible for all those retirement plans, but if you work, you at least qualify for one. Add all your contributions together. Divide that number by your annual compensation. Then, ponder:
